Tesla became the best selling vehicle in Q1 of 2023

Tesla Model Y is the best-selling vehicle in the world, thrashing the likes of Toyota, Ford, and VW in the first quarter of 2023, and this has never happened before. The Model Y was previously wallowing in the 9th position back in 2022 but to the surprise of many, jumped to the number one position, shocking many experts. This is the first time a fully electric vehicle took this position, and it is a clear indication that consumers are now doing their homework and are realizing that the Model Y is the best all-round car for the price and very reliable, with the base model having 283 miles of range, an acceleration of 0–100km/h in just 6.9 seconds, a spacious cabin big enough to set up a mini playground for kids, loads of storage space and a software interface that is years and years ahead of their closest competitor. The company is rumored to have sold about 267,171 units worldwide, thus seeing about a 91% increase which I think is mind-blowing. Tesla is yet to enter other territories,

What I love about Tesla's new FSD update

Elon Musk never misses an opportunity to compliment the Tesla FSD team; in my opinion, they are actually doing an excellent job. I'm impressed by how they've evolved and improved over time. I had an experience when using the Full Self Driving mode one day, and it left me speechless. I was on my way to work one morning using the FSD, and I came across a situation where there were cars parked on both sides of the road, and the space between them was very little. My initial assumption was that the car wouldn't be able to get out of that spot, but to my astonishment, it did, and it did it flawlessly. As it passed through, the car folded its side mirrors with ease. As discussed here, the Full Self-Driving mode on Tesla vehicles is truly revolutionary. Most human drivers would have found this extremely challenging and would have needed the assistance of pedestrians to help guide them. Indeed, Tesla is doing amazing work that is enviable to all other automakers.

Elon Musk and his success story

According to Elon Musk, he did not grow up with a silver spoon in his mouth as always reported by the media; in fact, he grew up in a lower, transitioning to an upper-middle-income situation, and did not have a happy childhood. He revealed this on Twitter while responding to a tweet by a woman named Deborah, who wrote,‘’ Musk came to the US with no money but graduated with over $100K in debt’’ She continued, ‘’Even having a wealthy family, a student can have a lot of financial difficulties.’’ Musk also claimed that reports that his father owned an emerald mine in Zambia were lies; he wrote, ‘’Regarding the so-called 'emerald mine,' there is no objective evidence whatsoever that this mine ever existed. He told me that he owned a share in a mine in Zambia, and I believed him for a while, but nobody has ever seen the mine, nor are there any records of its existence.‘’ According to Elon, his father rather owned an electrical/mechanical engineering company for 25 to 30 years but was

Tesla to fix faulty auto wipers

Elon Musk finally addressed the issue of their faulty auto wipers when a Tesla owner posted a video about the problem on Twitter. According to Elon Musk, he and his team at Tesla have also identified the problem and are working to correct the problem. If you own a Tesla, especially the Model Y, which is what I have had this experience with, you will notice that when using the Full Self-Driving mode at times, the wipers automatically turn on themselves even when it's not raining. And there is absolutely no way to turn the wipers off unless you pull over and manually clean your windshield, or you turn off the FSD mode which is a bit of a shame. Elon Musk suggested that Tesla will be using ‘’surround video’’ and not just the one camera in front of the car to tackle this problem once and for all. Teslas Full Self-Driving mode is absolutely insane, and it's quite embarrassing that the wipers are ruining this extraordinary feature.

Here is likely what you'd be seeing on Tesla vehicles soon

The CEO of Tesla has disclosed so many new features and updates coming to their vehicles, which will make their vehicle hard to compete with. One of his claims which actually stood out for me, is that in the future, you won't be required to put on your seat belt in a Tesla when traveling because of how advanced their airbag system will be. According to Elon, Tesla vehicles now have updated software to improve how the airbags are deployed, and it is getting better and better with time. The vehicle will run some series of calculations like checking if you are an adult, how much you weigh, and which part of the seat you are sitting at to measure the pressure distribution. It will be so good to the extent that even if an unbelted toddler is sitting in a bad position in the vehicle, he will still be 100% safe. Tesla has garnered a multitude of 5-star ratings bestowed upon them by prestigious safety institutions across the globe. Countless tests have been conducted, and time and time aga

Reasons why Tesla is the safest vehicle ever manufactured

In truth, Teslas are among the safest cars ever produced. Elon Musk also said this at the most recent shareholder meeting. Their vehicles have repeatedly shown to be extremely safe when put to the test. OK, these are the numbers; The Model Y passed the most recent and rigorous safety test administered by Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Program) with a score of roughly 92%, beating out the closest competitor's 82%. When the model 3 was also subjected to a frontal offset test, it performed exceptionally well. During this test, which was also conducted by Euro NCAP, the lack of an engine in the front region of the car let the vehicle's crumple zone absorb all the impact during a collision, leaving the occupants unharmed. When further tests like those for the vehicle's roof strength, head restraints, and autonomous driving assistance systems were conducted, the model 3 once again got top overall scores. In a rollover test, the Model X stunned many engineers since it did

Tesla's sentry mode; Here's why its awesome

I believe it to be one of the best features ever added to a vehicle. I don't yet know if any other automaker offers such high levels of protection. The first thing I love about my automobile is that it allows me to have a 360-degree view of it as well as a view of the interior from anywhere in the world using a smartphone. To frighten off potential intruders, you are able to talk through the car's speaker system and flash your headlights. The incredible development of Sentry Mode in such a short amount of time is just jaw-dropping!
